Banana Pudding Matcha Recipe

Combining your love for banana pudding + a creamy matcha latte all in one! If you've got some over ripe bananas sitting around and you're craving a little sweet treat - our banana pudding matcha is just the drink for you! 

What you'll need:

Banana pudding:
  • 2 tbsp instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Arnott’s shortbread (original recipe calls for Nilla Wafers but we don’t have them in Australia)
  • 1 banana
Matcha:
  • 4g Imōto matcha
  • 150mL Korean banana milk (or you can opt for regular milk/alt milk)
  • Ice
  • 50mL of 80°C water

Method:

Banana pudding:
  1. Whisk condensed milk and cold water together until combined. Add in the vanilla pudding mix and whisk until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  2. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the pudding base and cream until combined.
  4. Layer the pudding mixture with freshly sliced banana and crushed up shortbread in a dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Matcha:
  1. In a bowl, whisk your matcha with water.
  2. In a glass, add your ice, banana milk and matcha above. 
  3. Finish off with a scoop of banana pudding on top and enjoy!
