Banana Pudding Matcha Recipe
Combining your love for banana pudding + a creamy matcha latte all in one! If you've got some over ripe bananas sitting around and you're craving a little sweet treat - our banana pudding matcha is just the drink for you!
What you'll need:
Banana pudding:
- 2 tbsp instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Arnott’s shortbread (original recipe calls for Nilla Wafers but we don’t have them in Australia)
- 1 banana
Matcha:
- 4g Imōto matcha
- 150mL Korean banana milk (or you can opt for regular milk/alt milk)
- Ice
- 50mL of 80°C water
Method:
Banana pudding:
- Whisk condensed milk and cold water together until combined. Add in the vanilla pudding mix and whisk until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the pudding base and cream until combined.
- Layer the pudding mixture with freshly sliced banana and crushed up shortbread in a dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Matcha:
- In a bowl, whisk your matcha with water.
- In a glass, add your ice, banana milk and matcha above.
- Finish off with a scoop of banana pudding on top and enjoy!
