Kohiki Sogi-Me Chawan Matcha Bowl
A handmade chawan shaped for quiet, everyday ritual. Finished in a soft white glaze with delicate speckling and a subtle ridged texture.
Craftsmanship
Made in Japan by Kuriēto for Imōto. Each piece is formed and finished by hand, carrying slight variations that make every bowl unique.
Form & Feel
A wide, open silhouette allows for smooth whisking and a fine, even froth. The gently textured surface offers a natural grip, while the unglazed base brings warmth and balance.
About the Maker
Seito-san is a third-generation potter based in Shiga Prefecture. His work, presented through Kuriēto Tableware, centres on objects for daily use—where function and ritual meet.
He is known for the Tokusa pattern: fine vertical lines inspired by the tokusa plant, a motif dating to the Edo period. The texture is subtle, revealed through touch and use over time.
