Minori is a medium roast hōjicha powder from Sayama, Saitama - one of Japan’s northernmost tea-growing regions. The cold climate of Sayama produces thick, resilient tea leaves with a notably rich, full-bodied taste with a depth of flavour the region has been famous for over years. What makes Minori unique is the addition of the use of tea leaf stems which results in a sweet and toasty fragrance/aroma. 

Minori is a blend between the two cultivars - Yabukita, Japan's classic variety prized for its balanced umami and natural sweetness, and Sayamakaori known for its bold, expressive aroma that intensifies when roasted. Using a blend of primarily first flush and some second flush leaves, the hōjicha powder is milled ultra fine resulting in a buttery smooth and creamy texture.
